Crisis Response After a crisis, the first 72 hours constitute the optimum window for an effective response, the Crisis Response Team, an arm of Crisis Intervention of Houston, is prepared to respond to needs within hours. Using a proven debriefing method, the Crisis Response Team can lead those affected by a traumatic event through a process that encourages cognitive and emotional integration of the incident. Research reflects that effective debriefing after a crisis can accelerate the return to normal functioning, teach effective stress management, diminish the likelihood of litigation, reduce absenteeism and improve morale.
